Everolimus drug-eluting stents are associated with improved outcomes for the treatment of infrainguinal bypass graft stenoses
Journal of Vascular Surgery Aug 25, 2018
Hicks CW, et al. - Clinical outcomes of everolimus drug-eluting stents (eDESs) vs percutaneous cutting balloons (PCBs) vs angioplasty for the treatment of infrainguinal bypass graft stenoses were described and compared. Researchers performed an institutional analysis of patients with infrainguinal bypass graft stenosis treated by endovascular intervention (August 2010-December 2017). In this work, the results of everolimus-eluting stents for the treatment of infrainguinal bypass graft stenoses were reported for the first time. Outcomes support the feasibility of using everolimus-eluting stents for endovascular bypass graft revision, with a possible higher efficacy than other endovascular therapies.
