Roy D, et al. - This study was carried out to determine patient and practice factors associated with poor survival in elderly dialysis patients. Findings demonstrated an association of unplanned start of dialysis with poor survival in this population. Furthermore, a relation of patient characteristics such as associated peripheral vascular disease and ischemic heart disease to poor survival was also demonstrated in this work.
