Evaluation of treatment of acne scars with 25% trichloroacetic acid chemical peel followed by manual dermasanding
Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology Oct 18, 2020
Al‐Hamamy HR, et al. - Given that acne scars are common problems experienced in daily dermatological practice, researchers sought to assess the safety and efficacy of 25% trichloroacetic acid (TCA) alone or followed by manual dermasanding in repeated sessions for the treatment of mild and moderate acne scars. Participants in the study were 13 patients (nine females and four males). According to findings, superficial peeling of trichloroacetic acid accompanied by manual dermasanding in separate sessions was successful and the improvement became more important for the treatment of mild and moderate acne scars after repeated dermasanding sessions.
