Evaluation of renal dysfunction using texture analysis based on DWI, BOLD, and susceptibility-weighted imaging
European Radiology Apr 07, 2019
Ding J, et al. - In this investigation, researchers examined the value of texture analysis in assessing renal dysfunction based on diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI), blood oxygen level-dependent MRI (BOLD), and susceptibility-weighted imaging (SWI). For this analysis, 72 patients underwent MRI consisting of DWI, BOLD, and SWI. According to findings, texture characteristics based on BOLD and SWI, but not DWI, may be appropriate for early-stage assessment of renal function impairment. Outcomes revealed that SWI showed a similar capacity to BOLD for evaluating renal dysfunction.
