Fanelli MF, et al. – The researchers explored the role of circulating tumor microemboli (CTM) in progression–free survival (PFS) in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). Investigations suggested that CTM1/2, TGF–β receptor I (TGF–βRI) expression and unfavorable CTM kinetics might represent poor prognosis in locally advanced HNSCC.
