Nofal E, et al. - Researchers probed and compared the effectiveness and safety of the platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and the carboxytherapy in the treatment of periorbital hyperpigmentation (POH). As per data, in the treatment of POH, both PRP and carboxytherapy were relatively effective and their efficacy was comparable. Results demonstrated that compared to PRP, carboxytherapy was simple and slightly more effective modality and well tolerated. Experts suggested that for the POH problem which is caused by multifactorial etiology, both modalities were promising but not the ideal solutions.
