Evaluation of breast cancer morphology using diffusion-weighted and dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI: Intermethod and interobserver agreement
Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Apr 17, 2019
Radovic N, et al. - In this retrospective study involving 78 women with pathohistologically proven breast cancer, researchers assessed the usefulness of diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) in assessing breast cancer morphological characteristics by comparing DWI and dynamic contrast-enhanced (DCE) MRI findings to determine intermethod and interobserver agreement. There has been a moderate agreement on inter-methods overall. Most of the values of the interobserver agreement between DWI and DCE MRI were similar. According to findings, DWI is applicable for morphological breast cancer assessment, despite significantly lower spatial resolution compared to DCE MRI.
