Evaluating the prognosis of ischemic stroke using low-dose multimodal computed tomography parameters in hyperacute phase

Journal of Computer Assisted Tomography Jan 25, 2019

Tang B, et al. - Via “one-stop-shop” multimodal CT examination, including noncontrast CT (NCCT), low-dose CT perfusion, and CT angiography (CTA), researchers assessed the potential ability of low-dose multimodal computed tomography (CT) in prognosticating acute ischemic stroke (AIS) within 6 hours. Among 144 patients, the combination of CTA source image (CTA-SI)-Alberta Stroke Program Early CT Score (ASPECTS), collaterals, and cerebral blood volume (CBV)-ASPECTS might improve predictive power vs a single parameter alone.
