Rodrigues Filho BA, et al. - Researchers assessed how measurement uncertainty impacts the misdiagnosis of hypertension. They studied how the number of measurements taken affects the probability of misdiagnosis, among other factors. Misdiagnosis was found to have a significant influence, which indicated that it is important to take into account uncertainties as a component to medical decision. In hypertension diagnosis, the major role played by the number of measurements taken was also highlighted.
