They studied how the number of measurements taken affects the probability of misdiagnosis, among other factors. Misdiagnosis was found to have a significant influence, which indicated that it is important to take into account uncertainties as a component to medical decision. In hypertension diagnosis, the major role played by the number of measurements taken was also highlighted.
