Zhao WJ, et al. – The effectiveness of prophylactic central neck dissection (pCND) was examined for cN0 papillary thyroid carcinoma. Outcomes approved that pCND with total thyroidectomy (TT) was significantly efficient to reduce the risk of locoregional recurrence (LRR). However, pCND+TT augmented the incidence rate of temporary and permanent hypoparathyroidism and temporary laryngeal nerve injury (LNR).
