Etoposide as a single agent in the treatment of mycosis fungoides: A retrospective analysis

Purnak S, et al. - Researchers retrospectively reviewed the experience with single-agent etoposide in the treatment of advanced-stage or refractory early-stage mycosis fungoides (MF) with focus on analyzing its efficacy and safety. Results demonstrated a significant correlation of higher doses of etoposide with higher grades of anaemia, neutropenia or lymphopenia (p < .05). Experts noted that for MF, etoposide was an effective treatment and could be considered in selected patients with progressive MF who have failed other treatments.
