Etiology and long-term rebleeding of endoscopic ulcerative lesions in the small bowel in patients with obscure gastrointestinal bleeding: A multicenter cohort study
Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology Dec 20, 2017
Aoki T, et al. - This multicenter cohort study was performed to explain appropriate indications for diagnostic balloon-assisted endoscopy (BAE) and predictors of long-term rebleeding in patients with small-bowel ulcerative lesions. A single ulceration was found to be a reasonable indication for the diagnostic BAE when small-bowel ulcerative lesions were managed in obscure gastrointestinal bleeding (OGIB) patients. For single ulcerations, the rebleeding rate was lower than for multiple ulcerations.
