Keselman A, et al. – This study wanted to detect whether estrogen signaling contributed to sex differences in macrophage polarization during asthma. It was reported that estrogen enhanced IL–4–induced M2 gene expression. This finding highlighted the contribution of estrogen to sex differences observed in asthma.
