Estimated minimal residual membranous urethral length on preoperative magnetic resonance imaging can be a new predictor for continence after radical prostatectomy
Urology Nov 24, 2017
Satake Y, et al. - Authors intended to investigate a parameter speculating the postoperative recovery of urinary continence after radical prostatectomy. In addition, they explored the correlations between parameters on preoperative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and postoperative continence status. It was deduced that preoperative minimal residual membranous urethral length (mRUL) was an independent predictor of continence recovery after radical prostatectomy. It exhibited a connection with preoperative (baseline) continence status.
