Hussain N, et al. - Herein, researchers analyzed data from randomized-controlled trials (RCTs) comparing the incremental benefits of intravenous (IV) vs perineural (PN) dexamethasone when used as adjuvants for peripheral nerve blockade to improve analgesia. Findings suggested similar safety profiles and equivalent analgesic benefits shown by PN and IV dexamethasone, when used as adjuvants, for peripheral nerve blockade.
