Epidemiological changes in cutaneous lymphomas: An analysis of 8,593 patients from the French Cutaneous Lymphoma Registry
British Journal of Dermatology Nov 05, 2020
Dobos G, de Masson A, Ram‐Wolff C, et al. - Researchers conducted this retrospective study to investigate the frequency of primary cutaneous lymphomas (PCLs) in the French Cutaneous Lymphoma Registry and to identify the demography of patients. Patients with a centrally validated diagnosis of primary PCL, diagnosed between 2005 and 2019, have been involved. The estimated incidence of 1.06/100,000 person-years was unprecedently high. The emergence of new diagnostic criteria and better description of the entities in the most recent PCL classification can explain the changes in PCL frequencies. In addition, an algorithm is proposed to validate the diagnosis of PCL through central cases validation.
