Palumbo V, et al. - Researchers aimed to evaluate if Enhanced Recovery After Surgery pathway was related to a faster bowel function recovery and no increase in morbidity vs standard perioperative care in individuals who underwent radical cystectomy. A significantly faster bowel function recovery was allowed by an Enhanced Recovery After Surgery pathway in patients that underwent open radical cystectomy, with no increase in 90-day postoperative complications compared to standard perioperative care.
