Pareek M, et al. - This prospective population-based cohort study was performed to investigate if the 1-h blood glucose measurement would be a more suitable screening tool for evaluating the risk of diabetes and its complications than the 2-h measurement. Compared to the 2-h level, the 1-h blood glucose level was a stronger predictor of future type 2 diabetes. Furthermore, 1-h blood glucose level correlated with diabetes complications and mortality.
