Endovascular treatment of very large and giant intracranial aneurysms: Comparison between reconstructive and deconstructive techniques- A meta-analysis
American Journal of Neuroradiology | May 28, 2018
Cagnazzo F, et al. - Experts sought to compare treatment-related outcomes between reconstructive and deconstructive endovascular treatments of very large/giant intracranial aneurysms. Series of reconstructive and deconstructive treatments with >10 patients were selected. For unruptured, anterior circulation aneurysms, parent artery occlusion allowed high rates of occlusion with an acceptable rate of complications. Authors noted that for posterior circulation and ruptured lesions, coiling ought to be preferred, whereas, for unruptured anterior circulation aneurysms, flow diversion was relatively safe and effective.
