Novikov AA, et al. - Researchers performed a comparison of endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty (ESG) to laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG) and laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding for weight loss. They identified LSG as the most effective option for weight loss. However, in select patients, ESG being associated with low morbidity and short length of stay, was a safe and feasible endobariatric option.
