Endoscopic prediction of advanced histology in colorectal lesions sized < 10 mm using JNET classification
Digestive Endoscopy Oct 23, 2019
Murano T, Ikematsu H, Shinmura K, et al. - In this investigation involving 680 patients, researchers studied the diagnostic value of the Japan Narrow-band imaging Expert Team (JNET) classification for advanced histology in colorectal lesions sized < 10 mm. Between January and December 2017, they enrolled individuals with 1,472 colorectal lesions sized < 10 mm diagnosed according to the JNET classification and who subsequently had an endoscopic or surgical resection. Multivariate analysis demonstrated that for advanced histology, JNET Type2B+3 was a stronger predictive factor than other clinical risk factors. According to the JNET classification, NBI with magnification can be a useful modality for identification of advanced histology in colorectal lesions sized < 10 mm.
