When compared with external approaches, there did not occur a clear movement toward the endoscopic approach for orbital decompression, with modest growth. The specialty-exclusive nature of approaches, as well as a lack of consensus, was included by the potential explanations; the latter idea was further reinforced by geographic variation. In these patients, the role of endoscopic approach could be clarified by high-quality prospective trials.
