Akarsu M, et al. - The purpose of this research was to compute the serum endocan level of patients with erectile dysfunction (ED) and to determine the potential connection between this and vasculogenic severe ED. An independent correlation was discovered between age, hypertension, metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular events and higher serum endocan levels with severe ED. Circulating endocan could be utilized in routine practice as a new marker which was linked to the cardiovascular risks and the severity of ED disease.
