Philip J, et al. - This study used over two decades of institutional ventricular assist devices (VADs) experience to gain insight into the trends towards predictors of mortality. As per observations, following VAD placement, persistent end-organ impairment in the first 2 weeks could serve as a useful prognostic marker for survival to transplant.
