Charest-Morin R, et al. - This study quantified local recurrence (LR) and mortality rates following surgical treatment of spinal giant cell tumor. Also, prognostic outcomes of en bloc resection with wide/marginal margins versus an intralesional procedure were assessed. Decreased LR associated with en bloc resection with wide/marginal margins led to its recommendation in cases where it is technically feasible. Additionally, intralesional resection was associated with increased LR, and mortality correlated with LR.
