En bloc re-resection of high-risk NMIBC after en bloc resection: Results of a multicenter observational study
World Journal of Urology May 24, 2019
Hurle R, et al. - Researchers scheduled patients with a high-risk non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) who had previously undergone en bloc resection for en bloc re-resection (EBRS) of the resected area after 40 days in order to assess the role of EBRS in these patients. EBRS was performed on 78 patients. Findings revealed low rates of residual tumor, recurrence, and progression. This raises concerns regarding the efficacy of EBRS in patients who have previously undergone en bloc resection. In these patients, feasibility and safety of EBRS were supported with a low rate of complications.
