Empirically derived dietary patterns and ovarian cancer risk: A meta-analysis

Wang HF, et al. - In order to ascertain the relationship between dietary patterns (which reflect overall diet and possible nutrient and food interactions) and ovarian cancer (OC) risk, researchers performed a systematic meta-analysis. Findings suggested reduced risk for OC in association with a healthy dietary pattern. An enhanced risk of OC was identified in correlation with a western-style dietary pattern. They identified no significant association in OC risk was seen in the highest vs the lowest category of a heavy drinking pattern.
