Ye Q, et al. - The components of Mycoplasma pneumoniae (MP) that can cause IgE increase in children were determined, and its specific mechanism was clarified. In addition to being an infectious agent, the role of MP as an allergen was also suggested for certain individuals. Also, it was noted that the production of P1-specific IgE could be induced by the P1 protein of MP.
