Circ-Foxo3 is positively associated with the Foxo3 gene and leads to better prognosis of acute myeloid leukemia patients
BMC Cancer Sep 27, 2019
Zhou J, Zhou LY, Tang X, et al. - Researchers examined de novo acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients for the expression of Foxo3 and Circ-Foxo3 in order to explore the relationship between Foxo3 gene and Circ-Foxo3. Relative to control samples, de novo AML patients exhibited significantly lower expression of Foxo3 gene and a lower expression of Circ-Foxo3. In non-M3 patients, those with the Foxo3 high expression had longer survival time than those with low expression of Foxo3 patients. Besides, in non-favorable risk groups, they observed longer survival time among patients with low expression of Foxo3 vs Foxo3 high patients. Furthermore, in normal Karyotypic patients, significantly longer overall survival time was evident for patients with high-expressed Foxo3 than those with low expression. Results unveiled a positive correlation between the two genes in AML patients.
