Nutrition, Metabolism & Cardiovascular Diseases Jan 17, 2018
Coiro S, et al. - The long-term additive prognostic value of serum uric acid (sUA) was comprehensively inspected by the authors among elderly patients hospitalized for heart failure (HF). In such patients, high sUA at discharge was discovered to be a strong predictor of adverse outcome. It notably improved the risk classification. It was also determined that the estimation of sUA could serve as a simple and useful instrument for the detection of high-risk elderly hospitalized for HF.
