Thomi R, et al. - The authors comparatively evaluated the levels of LL-37 in Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) to other inflammatory skin diseases and also intended to establish the immunomodulatory functions of LL-37 in HS. It was deduced that targeting LL-37 could serve as a new therapeutic option for the treatment of this recalcitrant disease. However, findings suggested the consideration of LL-37, owing to its antimicrobial function.
