Elevated expression of IRS-1 associates with p-Akt expression and predicts poor prognosis of breast invasive ductal carcinoma
Human Pathology Mar 22, 2018
Luo J, et al. - The correlation between expression of insulin receptor substrate 1 (IRS-1) and phosphorylated Akt (p-Akt) proteins and the clinicopathologic features of breast invasive ductal carcinoma (BIDC) were determined via immunohistochemistry, along with survival status. It was shown that overexpression of IRS-1 protein exhibited a link with the expression of p-Akt, and overexpression of IRS-1 and positive expression of p-Akt appeared to be independent biomarkers for poor prognosis in BIDC.
