Electrocardiograhic characteristics in patients with coronavirus infection: A single‐center observational study
Annals of Noninvasive Electrocardiology Sep 25, 2020
Li Y, Liu T, Tse G, et al. - This study was attempted to explore ECG characteristics in COVID‐19 patients and risk factors of intensive care unit (ICU) admission. Researchers conducted a retrospective observational study including the patients with COVID‐19 at the Wuhan Asia General hospital between February 10, and 26, 2020. Researchers obtained demographic, clinical, and ECG characteristics and comparisons were made between the ICU and non‐ICU admission groups. The risk factors of ICU admission were distinguished by using logistic regression. This analysis included a total of 135 patients (median age: 64 years [interquartile range: 48–72]), The results of this study demonstrate that COVID‐19 is frequently related to cardiovascular manifestations including ECG abnormalities and cardiovascular comorbidities. It was shown that ST‐T abnormalities and CVD at admission were correlated with elevated odds of ICU admission.
