Electroacupuncture inhibits NLRP3 inflammasome activation through CB2 receptors in inflammatory pain
Brain, Behavior, and Immunity Aug 10, 2017
Gao F, et al. – Whether or not electroacupuncture (EA) inhibited NLRP3 inflammasome activation through CB2 receptors and thus relieving inflammatory pain, was examined in this study. This study provided evidence to prove a reduction of the inflammatory pain by EA via inhibiting the activation of NLRP3 inflammasome through CB2 receptors. A novel information about the mechanisms through which EA and CB2 receptor activation reduced inflammatory pain was given by this study.
