No variation was illustrated in the outcome between elective and early elective cases. Data exhibited optimal operation durations in both cases that appeared to be 50% shorter compared to those recorded previously. The inference drawn was that an early elective operation presented as a good treatment option, particularly for individuals suffering from complicated diverticulitis.
