EKG-based detection of deep brain stimulation in functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) studies
Magnetic Resonance in Medicine Aug 10, 2017
Fiveland E, et al. – The effect of synchronization errors between the assumed functional MRI paradigm timing and the deep brain stimulation (DBS) on/off cycling applying a custom electrocardiogram–based triggering system was evaluated. Applying this detector, it was considered that stimulation can be accurately synchronized to functional MRI acquisitions, without adding any additional hardware in the MRI environment.
