Pierce JT, et al. - This study was implemented to analyze the comparative efficacies of spinal anesthesia (SA) vs. general anesthesia for lumbar spinal surgery. Findings revealed that in addition to being the more expedient anesthetic choice in the perioperative setting, SA was found to be effective for use in patients undergoing elective lumbar laminectomy and/or diskectomy spinal surgery.
