Hunsicker LM, et al. - The efficacy a vancomycin-based continuous triple antibiotic irrigation in immediate, implant-based breast reconstruction had been evaluated here. For immediate implant reconstruction, continuous breast irrigation with a vancomycin-based triple antibiotic solution proved to be a safe and effective accompaniment. Postoperative pain control using intramuscular injection of liposomal bupivacaine allowed the elastomeric infusion pump to be available for local tissue antibiotic irrigation.
