Venkatraman R, et al. – The clinicians performed this study to estimate the analgesic efficacy of ultrasound–guided transversus abdominis plane block (TAP block) in patients undergoing unilateral inguinal hernia repair. Following inguinal hernia surgery, the ultrasound–guided TAP block provided good postoperative analgesia, reduced analgesic requirements, and provided good visual analog scale (VAS) scores with fewer complications.
