Efficacy of partial- vs full-sling acellular dermal matrix use in implant-based breast reconstruction: A head-to-head comparison

Lee KT, et al. - Researchers performed a comparison of the outcomes between two patient groups who underwent tissue expander-based breast reconstruction using partial- vs full-sling acellular dermal matrix in implant-based breast reconstruction. The full-sling acellular dermal matrix (ADM) use could result in a reduction in unintended migration of prostheses and enable proper tissue expansion. Thus, better overall outcomes without increasing morbidities could be achieved with this technique.
