Efficacy of manipulation under anesthesia for stiffness following total knee arthroplasty: A systematic review

Gu A, et al. - Literature data were analyzed to determine the efficacy of manipulation under anesthesia (MUA) as a treatment option for post-operative stiffness. As per the evidence, MUA continued to be an efficacious, minimally invasive treatment option for post-operative stiffness following TKA. Most of the patients who underwent MUA exhibited clinically significant improvement in range of motion. Those treated within 12 weeks post-operatively had the best outcomes.
