Liu CJ, et al. - A prospective study was conducted to investigate the efficacy of ledipasvir and sofosbuvir treatment of hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection in patients coinfected with hepatitis B virus (HBV). In 100% of patients with HCV infection who were co-infected with HBV, the combination of ledipasvir and sofosbuvir for 12 weeks produced a sustained virologic response (SVR). Most patients had an increase in the level of HBV DNA not associated with signs or symptoms.
