Efficacy of intravenous lidocaine on pain relief in patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy: A meta-analysis from randomized controlled trials

Li MMJ, et al. - Researchers undertook a meta-analysis from randomized controlled trials (RCTs) to determine the efficiency and safety of intravenous infusion of lidocaine for pain management after laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC). A significant decrease in postoperative pain scores and opioid consumption after LC was evident with intravenous lidocaine infusion.
