Huang P, et al. - Intravenous acetaminophen was assessed as an analgesic option following primary total knee arthroplasty. Among patients who underwent primary total knee arthroplasty and received intravenous acetaminophen as an analgesic, a significant reduction in opioid requirements was evident in the first postoperative 24 hours. Additionally, this intervention resulted in a clinically significant decrease in visual analog pain scores (VAS).
