American Journal of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Medicine and Surgery Nov 18, 2020
Huang T, Xia ZF, Li WQ, et al. - Researchers here examined the effect of inhaled budesonide on children with acute infectious laryngitis. They randomly allocated a total of 92 children with acute infectious laryngitis to either the study (46 cases, treated with inhaled budesonide) and control group (46 cases, treated with dexamethasone). Relative to the control group, the study group had a significantly better therapeutic effect. Overall findings suggested a better effect of inhaled budesonide in terms of reducing serum inflammatory factors and improving the quality of life with safety profile.
