Efficacy of group cognitive rehabilitation therapy in multiple sclerosis
Acta Neurologica Scandinavica May 25, 2018
Mani A, et al. - The present study sought to examine the efficacy of group compensatory cognitive rehabilitation (CR) in patients with multiple sclerosis (MS)-related cognitive impairment. In this analysis, 34 female patients with diagnosed relapsing-remitting MS and evidence of impaired cognitive function were involved and randomized to intervention and control groups. The researchers performed an assessment of cognitive function before intervention (pretest), at the end of intervention (post-test), and 3 months later (follow-up). In patients with MS, this investigation supported the efficacy of group CR in the improvement of cognitive function.
