Khan Z, et al. - Via performing a systematic review and meta-analysis, researchers appraised and compared the efficacy of three novel endoscopic procedures (endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty (ESG), AspireAssist (AA), and primary obesity surgery endolumenal (POSE)) used for the management of obesity. They included 12 studies with 1149 patients. Both AA and ESG exhibited excellent efficacy in achieving significant and sustained weight loss during a follow-up of 6–12 months. However, in terms of weight loss, ESG vs POSE was found to be superior.
