Bannuru RR, et al. - In this meta-analysis, experts aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of curcuminoid and boswellia formulations compared to placebo or NSAIDs for knee osteoarthritis (OA). They noted that by relieving symptoms while reducing safety risks, curcuminoid and boswellia formulations could be a valuable addition to the knee OA treatment regimens. Subjects on curcuminoids were notably less likely to experience gastrointestinal adverse events.
