Nakayama Y, et al. - The impact of completion pancreatectomy (CP) on the clinical course of patients with recurrent pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) in the remnant pancreas was ascertained. PDAC patients with resectable local recurrence in the remnant pancreas, who were treated by CP, demonstrated better survival outcomes than those with other patterns of recurrence. Greater survival benefit might be achieved by combining CP with adjuvant chemotherapy.
