Weckmann G, et al. Â The efficacy and safety of Amylmetacresol and 2,4-Dichlorobenzylalcohol (AMC/DCBA) were investigated for the management of pain associated with acute uncomplicated sore throat. Results suggested that lozenges with AMC/DCBA could be a safe treatment option to relieve pain in patients with uncomplicated sore throat.
